Guest guest
We had a Perego highchair that we bought in 01 with my first son. It didn't have the crotch bar.. is that what you were referring to? Guest guest
If you look around you kind find them without the crotch bar, or with one that has a removable crotch bar (ours is this - it's a Graco brand from Target), or there are some that have just the crotch bar sticking up from the seat - with the tray detachable. Hope that helps. > > Okay, I just realized that will not fit into the highchair we have used for our other kids while wearing the FAB. Guest guest
Yes, our Graco high chair has a crotch bar attached to a small tray which the large tray goes onto. It is from 2000. I think for safety reasons the high chairs now have crotch bars but maybe not all do. I really don't want to spend the money for another high chair since this is our last baby. Looking for creative solutions .... Carol Re: highchair??? We had a Perego highchair that we bought in 01 with my first son. It didn't have the crotch bar.. is that what you were referring to? Guest guest
I've been using the Bumbo seat, or another baby seat that we have (Fisher Price). Guest guest
Carol, Our highchair is a Graco Neatseat, adjutable/reclyning. It was from my daughter who was born in 2000. The small tray that is under the big tray. We removed, it was plastic and it just kind of popped off with some work. The high chair is still fully functional. If you can get that off, the tray should still slide in on the sides. Hope this helps. Had to get kind of mean with the chair to get that piece off, but it worked for us. Guest guest
Carol, They make little portable booster seats that strap onto existing chairs. They're not very expensive (maybe $30.00).We have a regular (Baby Trend) highchair at home, and keep one of those booster seats in each car for when we go out to eat - (ours are made by Safety 1st) Restaurant highchairs ALWAYS have that crotch bar. Just make sure before you put her in a booster at home on one of your chairs that you pad that bar!!! > >Reply-To: nosurgery4clubfoot >To: <nosurgery4clubfoot > >Subject: Re: highchair??? >Date: Tue, 14 Mar 2006 10:32:54 -0600 > >Yes, our Graco high chair has a crotch bar attached to a small tray which >the large tray goes onto. Guest guest
Carol, I would recommend if you don't want to purchase a full size high chair to get one of the booster seats that attaches to a regular chair. There are several on the market under $30, I have one that is nice, folds up well for travel too, but it is a crumb trap - has lots of little crevices for food to get stuck in so I am constantly taking it apart to clean it (luckily it is dishwasher safe). There are a couple I saw on BabiesRUs online that have a one piece seat with a snap on tray. Hope this helps, Okay, I just realized that will not fit into the highchair we have used for our other kids while wearing the FAB. Guest guest
We only spent about $20 on a chair at Target that attaches to a regular dining room chair. It converts with each stage...tilts back for early feeding, and has a couple of levels as the child grows. The tray is detachable, so it can also be used as a booster seat as the child gets older and starts to eat at the table. We love it, and because it attaches to a chair, we can take it with us when we go to visit family who don't have high chairs of their own. We also used it when Aleksander was in the shoes full time and we went to restaurants with him. Okay, I just realized that will not fit into the highchair we have used for our other kids while wearing the FAB. Guest guest
We have the Peg Perego one. It doesn't have a crotch bar just the 5-point harness that you can easily thread through the legs even with the FAB on. HTH, Halley Re: highchair??? Guest guest
After reading this, I tried it and unfortunately our high chair tray (the big one) doesn't work without the underneath little tray attached to the crotch bar. Dang the luck that we bought the only high chair in the world which doesn't have a crotch bar which removes! LOL Oh well, on to other options.... Carol Re: highchair???
