Guest guest
I say keep them on for as long as possible and make the drive. I drove 5 hours (10 hour round trip) to CT once a week and it was a pain, but in retrospect I'm glad we did it. I think most of us feel that we would much rather err on the side of inconvenience than regret. Guest guest
I agree. Otherwise you'll always be wondering if you do the right thing for your kids. Financial hardships put a burden on everyone but you'll get through it even though your husband might be upset for a little bit Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerryFrom: Pullinger <elpullinger@...>Sender: Plagiocephaly Date: Wed, 15 Sep 2010 15:22:43 -0400<Plagiocephaly >Reply Plagiocephaly Subject: Re: Advice needed- is it worth it? Guest guest
Also, it is still possible to have a little growth spurt at 15 months. improved more than I thought he would after 16 months. If you can afford it, flying would be easier and better for the children. -Kathy On 9/15/2010 12:22 PM, Pullinger wrote: I say keep them on for as long as possible and make the drive. Guest guest
I don't like the hiatus before a fitting. If their heads flex back toward the parallelogram shape during that time, the final fitting won't be as aggressive as it would have been otherwise, devaluing the subsequent three weeks of wear. An unlikely scenario, perhaps, but I've seen it firsthand with Clara. Have you looked into these so-called " angel flights " ? Some rich dude might just need you as an excuse to pollute the autumn air. Maybe you could stick to the original plan. Guest guest
I just wanted to mention that I don't really agree with Thad's theory about the head flexing so much. I don't see a problem with having the band off. I'm not an expert, but it doesn't seem to be the case based on my experience. I would opt for doing the final appt and still keep the band on a few more weeks. But from what you wrote this won't work for you - right (no $ for flight till next month?). If that is the case keep it on till the 24th, and do the trip when you can. They if they can adjust it properly (it still fits okay) you can wear it a few more weeks. -christine sydney, 4.5 yrs, starband grad > > > My problem is that we moved a 9 hour drive away from Cranial tech. > > It's a 1.5 hour plane ride.
