My older daughter, , went into a toddler bed around age 2.5 years. We

moved her once she figured out how to get out of the crib. One night I heard

this really loud crash, discovered her stunned, but okay, on the floor next to

her crib. That next night she moved into a toddler bed with no problems. Hope

this helps.

I don't think he would go to sleep if he knows he can get out. But

our problem is he is wakeing up 6-10 times a night because he can

not roll over. The DBB seems to be wide and he will get stuck. I

will go in lay him down comfortably and he goes right back to

sleep. I know he is not up all night, but I have a hard time

getting back to sleep, so when I get back to sleep he is up once

again. My husband seems to think he only does it to make sure mommy

is still there and if I let him cry he will go back to sleep. He

has actually got the shoes stuck in the bars of the crib. Haven't

done that since we got the 's, but the shoes seem to be

bigger than the markells.

Any thoughts?

Kelsey has not slept in a crib since she was 13 months old because of the FAB.

She was constantly waking herself up. Until she was about 18-19 months old,

she slept in her pack and play because since the sides were soft, she did not

wake herself up banging the sides. Since then, she has been in a toddler bed

with a bed rail on the side. It still offers her the security of the sides but

she is in the toddler bed. We are currently in the process of buying her a

twin bed and she is now 26 months. This transition has worked great for her.

metal brace covered.....so, when Sofia sleeps, no metal is ever

exposed. I don't know if the fact that her whole shoe is covered

with material, that it prevents her shoe from getting stuck between

the slats of the crib.

About the waking up...well, it's hard, but, if you can ignore it a

few nights in a row.... might just figure out that he can

sleep thru the night....

I had to do that with my first child....it was very hard, but, after

the 3rd day....he just cried for less than a minute before he was

asleep again.
