Guest guest
Hope this makes sense.........Ava's feet kind of curve like a banana. The don't curve in, but down if you know what I mean. She had 7 weeks of plaster, then the tenotomy, then she went into the Markells but she got the blisters...... anyway just wondering whether the brace corrects that curve? When she weight bears her foot is flat, but it's almost as if she holds her foot like that. Hope I'm making sense?
Guest guest
, Do you mean that she A) curls her feet when at rest? Or that they curve in like a C or bean shape when flat on the floor? I think you mean A - which is generally okay, lots of babies do that, clubfoot or no. I think it gradually goes away not from the brace, but from growth and walking. Although Sammy still does this and he's 21 months and has been crusing/walking for almost a year. Option B usually means that either the foot is relapsing or was not fully corrected to begin with. The brace will not correct this if this is what is going on, she would probably need additional casting. Your best bet in either case is just to run this by the doctor for an official professional opinion.
