Guest guest
Hi everyone.. I also posted this on the other clubfoot website. My son , now age 2, has just started seeing Dr. Herzenberg. After seeing 3 different ortho's here in Florida, has begun to relapse. We decided to go to the best and visit Dr. H and we are so glad that we did. He decided to re cast on both feet and see how he looks in 2 weeks. He said he will re cast the left one once more (it is more severe) and the right one may be o.k. after one cast. After that, he will determine whether or not to do the ATT surgery. First of all, anyone have experience with a 2 year old in casts? It is not easy telling a very active 2 year old that he can't move around (although he is figuring out ways to crawl and scoot). Any advice on how to make this an easier experience for him? Also, anyone have success with re casting and not needing any surgery afterwards? I really appreciate any input.
