Guest guest
Thanks whoever posted the site for the Gagner/Ren/ 1999 Lap DS surgery. I've watched it several times now and am more amazed each time. ~~THAT~~ was done to me just over 4 months ago! Fantastic is my first feeling! Although I am pissy about s backing off from doing the DS, I still admire her ability to perform this involved surgery whilst viewing the surgical site over a video link and operating with small tools. I also had several questions answered, especially about the staple line and measuring the common channel. It would be great if these vids were offered to preop patients (who wanted to see them) so a better understanding of what was going to happen could occur. I passed the URL on to my family so they could see what was done to mom/sis and encouraged my brother to check it out. He is a 6'5 " 400 lb hulk of a guy with the same co morbs as I had. Of course I worry about him, but he's so addicted to food that he fears he couldn't even consider WLS. I hope I changed his mind over Thanksgiving, when I made a point of eating some of everything.....including several slices of pun'kin pie with whipped cream. Most likely I set my weight loss back some, but I don't eat that way every day and I still ate MUCH less that prior Thanksgivings. Guest guest
I would like to thank you also. I am pre-op and it helps me to know exactly what will be happening during my surgery. plantcrone wrote: Thanks whoever posted the site for the Gagner/Ren/ 1999 Lap DS surgery.
