Guest guest
Hi .. this is thomas .. ti's husband... just got home to clean up a bit before heading back to the hospital ... Theresa is fairing pretty good... she still hasnt passed any gas . and that is holding things up a bit .. talked to the doc a little more and the trouble they had with the intestine connection wasnt because of IBS .. just the type of tissue she has .. it tended to shred when they tried to connect it . she went for a cat scan today to check for leaks .. she had to drink some stuff to help the image .. she didnt like that .. it is the most she has had in her stomach since the surgery .. . we are just waiting to hear about the results .. keep your fingers crossed. Guest guest
Ann, I had surgery July 3rd with Dr Gagner. Now almost 7 months later I can tell you that not only was my surgery complication free, but my recovery has been complication free. No matter what complications you could run into with surgery the complications from obesity related diseases and damage to the body are guaranteed to occur. The surgeon will runa full battery of tests on you pre-operatively to make sure that you are good candidate for surgery and to make sure that he catches anything that could cause compications. Guest guest
Hi Lisbeth, and Happy Holidays to you and yours, Thank you for answering. I am being very reassured. It is true that everyone shares their complications here, so we get to hear them all, so sometimes the impact is stronger than reading about them in the doctors papers! I am glad you haven't had very serious complications (I can relate to the gas - I too suffer preop from gas)! Congratulations on your successes and keep up the good work! Guest guest
Hi Anita! You are absolutely right about complications getting magnified on this list, because every one is sharing and caring about one another. I appreciate everyone's candor and clear explanations of each one's uncomplicated or minorly complicated surgery. I am glad to see that minor complications far out weigh serious complications and that there are so many complication free! Thank you for responding and Happy Holidays to you and all your loved ones!
