Guest guest
Hi , I have been wondering how it went all day, thanks for posting so quick! Can't say enough about mommy instincts, aren't they amazing! So three sets of casts and possibly another tenotomy and remotely the possibility of the ATTT. Well thank goodness you went right to the best! This is the problem with a lot of ortho's out there, they just cannot recognize/deal with severe/complex feet. Just so so happy that you got your Lily in to Ponseti!! We'll just take it one step at a time! Many here have gone through recasting/second tenotomies with great results - no ATTT needed. I would hope/think that Dr. Ponseti told you of this possibility " just in case " so that you wouldn't be shocked if it was needed. It is one of the if not the LEAST invasive surgeries for club foot and quite a few kids here have had it done so if that does come to pass which sounds like Dr. P said it was a " remote " possibility, you will be able to get some good advise re. Good to hear that she is doin well in her casts, aren't our kids amazing!!! Really really happy for you !! Big Hugs, & Grace > > > > > > Thanks all for the posts. Guest guest
, Thanks for sharing your story. I'm so happy for you and especially for Lily! I too am grateful for this group of moms and dads who encouraged me to try a Ponseti doctor when my son was already scheduled for major surgery with his previous orthopedic surgeon. Every time I look at his feet I am filled with gratitude for Dr. Ponseti and his method. I only wish all orthopedic surgeons knew how to do it. and bilateral cf dbb 14/7 > > > > > > Thanks all for the posts.
