When our dietician told us that lamictal contains lactose from a

bovine source, we tested that antiepileptic drug (that our

daughter has used for about 2 1/2 years), for casein at one of the

labs used by Kirkman for their products. The results indicated

that it contains about 5% casein! We are currently giving her a

liquid form of lamictal from a compounding pharmacy which

does not contain casein. (The pharmacy we use is Ridge Road

Pharmacy and Speciaties 1-800-Ridge-Rx)
