Guest guest
HI Everyone, Jordan enjoyed his first 2 days at school. He was a little teary eyed when he headed to the classroom without mom and dad. I really wanted to go with him but said let him go with his class, he'll be OK. And OK he was. He said I love my new school. I hope his enthusiasm continues. One Problem - the nurse at the school says that theyare not allowed to put his G-tube in if it falls out and that if my husband came to the school to do it(he's 10 minutes away) he would have to take him home to do it and then bring him back. I am so upset with this policy. Yet the nurse can do catherization on the students because the MD order does not state it's a sterile procedure. Now when Jordan was at his other school the nurse was able to do it and did about 3 times while he was there for 2 years. Granted the school wasn't a public school but she still had the authority to do it. The nurse at the public school says they are not covered to do it. Now what? Just pray each day and hope the G-tube doesn't come out. I may have to wrap his belly with a bandage or something. Anyone else have this problem? mom to Jordan 4 1/2 yrs RSS GH, G-tube, Tums, Vit D and 10 weeks
