Guest guest
Hi , Speaking of the strawberry Isopure shakes, how are they? I'm curious. I just bought some protein shakes from Bally's gym, which I recently joined. They are actually pretty good, and they have 40 grams per shake. The problem is that there is no WAY you can possibly finish one in one sitting. That's not a problem though because I can just refrigerate the leftover part and have it later. The point is that I am looking for other pleasant tasting shakes so that I don't get bored with this kind. I've heard other people mention Isopure on here, but I can't remember what was said about them. Looking forward to your response. (meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out what other uses those watermelon gushers may have!! LOL!!!) Guest guest
, Did you know that there is a New Zealand chapter of the MAGIC Foundation? It was started by one of our members - Forsyth. You do not have to feel alone in this, either on the internet or in your real life at home. The MAGIC NZ group will surely help you. I don't know their email address, though. Perhaps if you " Google " the name or go to www.magicfoundation.org you will be able to get a contact person. Welcome to our very large family. I'm one of the old timers, the 9th or 10th member of this listserve. My son Max is now 17. He was diagnosed at 8 months. Keep us posted on your progress. Guest guest
Hi Jodi, I'm sorry to hear your son is still battling hiccups. I know how a few hours of that feels like a few years. I hope he gets better. I'm so glad to hear the convention is in Chicago, that's only 4 hours from us. And easy to remember, my 6 yr old daughters birthday is the 3rd week of July, on the 20th. Yeah, I can't wait to meet Amy, she was sopposed to come over last Friday, but came down with a sinus cold. She comes to Plainfield regularly, just a few blocks from here, to take her kids to a mommy's day out program, and she grew up in the neighborhood I live in. I'm just so thankful for all of you to be here, what an outlet! Jodi Zwain wrote: , You are talking about Amy Nikol. She did a huge fundraiser for Magic last spring. Come to think of it, she has not posted too much lately. I'm glad that you have spoken to her and that your doctor knows about RSS. Dasia's weight for height is good, so you don't have to worry about the g-tube. But do the cornstarch as you said you would and periodically check for ketones. You may be surprised to find a correlation between that and her moods. I believe you add a tablespoon to the bottle at night. I don't remember. The convention is always in Chicago around the third week of July. It's like a huge family reunion, even if you've never been there before! My son always feels as if it's the only place he can really hang out and be himself. Right now he is pretty sick with hiccups again. The doctor had me drug him to put him to sleep and hopefully break the cycle. Sigh. I'm pretty stressed myself right now. Jodi Z
