Traveling to New York to see Dr. H

Hi everyone! I need some help...I just got booked to see Dr. H in

early December, and this is our first appointment. First time going

to New York, too. Can anyone help me with some travel tips? Dayna

Carney has given me some suggestions on hotels, and I haven't made up

my mind yet where we're staying but Yadira recommended the Mt. Sinai's

hotel. Has anyone stayed there, and if so, what did you think of it?

Dayna suggested the Salisbury Hotel and that looks nice. Since I'll be

traveling with my 1 yr old, in December, is there any " attraction " or

things we can sightsee that would be kid-friendly to some degree

(taking into consideration the temperature that time of year)? Would

you suggest taking an infant carrier seat or stroller or just carry

the little one? She's almost 12 lbs. now...so she probably won't be

much heavier in December. I'm so clueless, I don't even know if you

are required to put a 1 yr old in a car seat in a taxi! Can anyone

help me out with these silly questions??!? Thanks so much!!
