Guest guest
Hi H, Just wanted to let you know that has NEVER tested positive for reflux, BUT he definitely has it! And he's had every test imaginable!! The only test that showed the reflux in anyway, was the Endoscopy done by Dr H in NY right before his g-tube was placed. There they saw some slight burns, and lots of irritation. If he's taken off his reflux meds, he will start with spitting up, and move on to throwing up, if they aren't replaced in his schedule. Guest guest
, I agree with Pat. has pretty severe reflux and had every test known to man to try to prove this. Every test came back NORMAL! Typical! Anyway, I just wanted to put some emphasis on what Pat is saying. Ian can still be having reflux. Just becasue ONE test didn't show it, doesn't mean anything. They looked for 's for over two and a half years. NOTHING! We just happened to get lucky on one of MANY delayed gastric emptying studies. Just happened to give a big does og his formula while laying down and up it came. All of it, and thank God they had the camera going right away because they finally found it and noted it as refluxing, severely! Just wanted to share with you. When your child tells you that he is tasting his medicine you just put in his G TUBE, you know that is reflux! Guest guest
That's very interesting. Thank you for letting me know that - it's much appreciated. Ian never spits up or has any vomiting of any kind and I've never noticed anything else. I'll definately talk to Dr. H about his results next month though. Thanks again. - H > Hi H, > > Just wanted to let you know that has NEVER tested positive for > reflux, BUT he definitely has it! And he's had every test imaginable!! Guest guest
Jodi - thank you too for this information. It is very beneficial. Although Ian doesn't have any of the signs - it just seems so prevalent in most of our children - I'm not going to rule it out just yet. Thank you very much. - H > > Hi H, > > > > Just wanted to let you know that has NEVER tested positive > for > > reflux, BUT he definitely has it! And he's had every test > imaginable!!
