Guest guest
That is so funny.... his pee didn't work. Well we just put him on when he wants and if he pees he pees. He doesn't talk so he holds his diaper and points at the potty chair. We have been working on making him talk, but not going to wait till he says potty, the grabing and pointing is good enough for me for now. Thanks. Tabitha number23 wrote: No that's not bad at all! Everything I " ve read about it says that if they show the inititive you should run with it despite their age. My Everett is 2 1/2 and has reached the INDEPENDENT phase so everything with him now days is NO! But I bought the chair, to which he said NO. So I left it laying about and he can do what he wants with it...he says it's the chair where kids go pee and thinks it is a funny concept but I did catch him sneaking off and attempting to pull down his pants to sit on it, so I ignored that lest he get embarassed or yell NO at me again. Later he wanted his underwear on (training pants) so I did that and he went to the potty and got mad his pee didn't work. I casually told him it might work later. He spent the day alternating between diapers and underpants, experimenting with it all on his own and I just stayed out of his way. This is the kid who weaned himself from breast feeding, weaned himself off the sippy cup, weaned himself off the pacifier and a couple other things he just " did " like that, so I'm thinking when he makes up his mind to potty, he will. It just isn't an issue you can force but definately an issue you can encourage when they're ready and your kid sounds very ready! trained real easy too. good luck! s Re: Cleaning s ? Thanks Kori, wasn't sure if I could get them wet. As far as potty training. We will see.....he is still pretty young. He likes to go, thinks it is fun now. the husband wont even let me buy underwear yet. I'm not working for awhile so it will be a good time to try. They're kind of stiff after drying but soften up quickly once used. Pee isn't so bad... next adventure for you is poop after he take his diaper off and mashes around in it on the floor. then you need a toothbrush AND dish soap :~} Good luck on the potty training! That's pretty good... twice in the first day? He'll be diaper free in no time! (lol, more wishful thinking... no... optimism!) Guest guest
I'm really curious to see how this goes for you! We just bought a potty chair for Aleksander. He's been saying diaper every time he pees, and when he farts or poops. Yesterday, he said poop, then went behind a chair in the living room for some privacy. He also grabs his diaper before or after he pees. He's going to be 16 months on Friday...we thought maybe this was too young to even try potty training, but I suppose if he wants to try, we're game! Guest guest
Hi, can you give some advice on where to find the thicker underwear? I tried Walmart and no luck. Thanks! Caroline
