Guest guest
Hi Cherie, I would trust your mama's " intuition " . The advancement of bone age means less time to grow, and that can be a major problem for our kids, IF you are trying to maximize height for you son. You didn't mention whether or not you are using GH. There has been tons of discussion on this topic. If you go back into the archives you can find a lot of posts there. Brock posted a great email explaining adrenarche and gonadarche on 7/6 of this year. In Jan, around the 13th,14th,15th, of this year, there was a lot of discussion about the use of Aromatase Inhibitors (used in preventing the body from changing androgens into estrodial). Jenn posted another email under Salem about adrenarche and bone age on 10/19/2004. Also, this year Dr H's major presentation at the Convention was on this subject. There should be a DVD available soon, and they are free for physicians. You could contact MAGIC at 1-800-3MAGIC3 and ask for more information about it. Hope this helps!
