Guest guest
, Hi. is also supposed to be starting on Nutropin. Dr. H emailed me to ask if this was okay or what my thoughts where and I told her I was concerned about the needles, etc. She told me that you can use the Inject-ease with the Nutropin, so that is why we went that route. She also thought this would be good for because we weren't going to be able to use the pen devices. hope that helps you out, Jodi R. , 3 years almost 5 months ), RSS > > Hi Again- > > Laikyn will be using Nutropin for her GH and I was wondering if they > had an inject ease that some of you told me about. Guest guest
It doesn't matter which GH you are using. The inject ease is for any time you are giving a needle to a child. It just hides the needle. The only time you couldn't/wouldn't use inject ease is if you have the pen devise (the needle is already hidden then). So don't worry, if you are given any type of GH that requires you to actually draw the medicine from a vial and insert it into a syringe, then you have the option of using an inject ease. Guest guest
, with almost any growth hormone, you can still use a syringe to draw up the medicine, and then use the Eli Lilly product, the Injectease. The Injectease is simply a device -- not related to the actual brand of growth hormone used. (well, probably most people who use it also use Humatrope GH, but it isn't required). So yes, you could use Nutropin in a vial; draw up the GH in a syringe and then drop the syringe into the Injectease. Just tell your supplier, pharmacist, doctor (who may actually have a free sample one) that you want to use syringes and use the Eli Lilly Injectease, in addition to the Nutropin GH. > > Hi Again- > > Laikyn will be using Nutropin for her GH and I was wondering if they > had an inject ease that some of you told me about. Guest guest
Hi , Jonah may also be starting GH in November. We have an appointment with Dr. H. in a few weeks. She told us that we would not be using a high enough dose of GH to use the pen, but the inject ease. We are very nervous too.. , Jonah's mom Question about Nutropin > Hi Again- > > Laikyn will be using Nutropin for her GH and I was wondering if they > had an inject ease that some of you told me about. Guest guest
My son, Jack started w/ Nutropin at 2 1/2 and he has been on it for over a year. I initially was terrified of giving him the shots. I started a routine fromm the start. We have a " shot chair " (because otherwise I would have been chasing him and it is a place that is not loaded--not where he eats or does something else). We also do it after dinner or his bath when he has been in " rest " mode and isn't as active as usual. He has some control too. He gets to tell me which arm. I was giving it to him in the arms and legs but he found the legs to be less comfortable and I couldn't bring myself to do his abdomen or butt (especially if he was scared I didn't want to restrain his in this way). In any event, the beginning (for few weeks) was tough but after that we were both fine. I got better at it and he got better at accepting it. One thing that helped me was that I watched my dad (a doctor) do it a few times because I wasn't pricking him hard enough and I was doing it too slowly. Is there a doctor that would be willing to show you a few times or watch you do it once? The other thing that I forgot to mention, is that Jack does get to choose a toy to bring w/ him when he gets his shot so that he can make some choices, too. Anyway sorry that this is so long. I hope that it is helpful. Rest assured that it will be OK and keep reminding yourself that you are doing it to help him. Berlin/Gene Bowen wrote: Hi , Jonah may also be starting GH in November. Guest guest
Hi heather, My son Jordan has been on Nutropin since 11/03 and is using the injectease. I love using it since it hides the needle and all you have to do is click a button and press on the syringe. I find it very easy to use and recommend it. mom to Jordan 4 1/2 y/o RSS on GH, Peptamen Jr., Tums, Vit D drops. and 3 1/2 months old
