All the way down I have been doing this. I started at 272. Then when I got to 250 I said " This was my most successful diet wt. " . At 244,found out I was pregnant w/ twins. At 239,doc told me to get pregnant-she'd much rather deal w/ a wt. issue than a fertility issue. at 220-came off craig. At 202-went on craig. at 195-got married. It's like my life rolled backwards. It's wonderful. After a 6 week plateau, the scales are finally moving again. Back in time I go! Osler 2/21/00 272/190!

Guest guest
Two days ago I hit the 100 pound mark! It was such a relief to get over that hurdle. Now just 70 pounds to go to get to my goal. I'm glad I knew I'd hit the goal then, I weighed a little while ago and had gained six pounds. I know it's just fluid (I haven't eaten enough to actually gain anything - maybe that's the problem.) When I spoke with my surgeon last week I told him about my shrinking 1.5 inches. (Had a bone density scan which confirmed I have osteoporosis in my spinal column, probably from being in perimenopause since puberty. Thanks, PCOS, really needed that!) The height loss has probably been going on for at least two years. He refigured my BMI based on my new height of 5'5 " . It was changed to 55 on surgery day and is now down to 38. Yippee! I'm so glad to see that number go down. Just hope the height remains stable. My rheumatologist put me on the nasal spray (Miacalcinon?) to help my body use the 2000 mg/day of calcium citrate I already take. Just around Thanksgiving I bought a watch. This was really a big deal for me since I haven't been able to wear one for nearly 20 years. It's got a gold mesh bracelet band, with links that can be removed. It was a little snug when I got it. Now it wanders all over my wrist. I can't believe I've lost that much in my arms already! About the same time I had the theatre seat epiphany. Went to see " Harry Potter " and had extra room in the seat. It's wonderful. Right now I'm jealous of my co-worker who also had the DS. Her surgery was about two months ahead of me. She had her hernia repair/paniculectomy in mid-November. When she came back to work today she looked so good! Between my hernia/small bowel obstruction repair and the original DS I've used up all my family medical leave (not to mention my short term disability pay.) I know I've got to wait until after late May to have the panni done so I can get back my family medical leave. Anyway - Merry Christmas to everyone. Hope everyone's new year is full of wonderful weight loss and personal growth.
