Guest guest
We have a 5 -- almost 6-- month old that is almost finished wearing the boots and bar 23/7. On Aug. 10th he gets reduced hours. Anyways, he continues to want to scratch at the skin on the backs of his ankles, rubbing his feet together like a cricket, when he is out of his Markell shoes for his one hour of freedom. My husband and I have resorted to taping his socks on and putting a rolled blanket between his feet to prevent him from ripping the new skin off his ankles. We need some more troubleshooting ideas. Currently we are trying to double sock our little cricket while he's in the shoes to see if that will help the open skin heal. Do you think the double socks (tight fit Old Navy on bottom and thicker GAP socks on top) will help heal itchy skin? We're using Lasinoh sparingly each evening and this seems to make our son feel better. I read on this board NOT to use bandaids. We have purchased moleskin, but I'm not sure how to use this to keep the sensitive skin away from the shoes. The bar is the correct length. The feet are corrected. We may end up in the P/ M's as soon as Jiminey Cricket outgrows his shoes. mom to Jiminey Cricket (06/01/29 - bcf)
