new wrinkle in my logistics

Sigh...nothing can ever be simple in my life, can it?

Surgery is all set for the 20th, but my in-laws have had to back out of taking

care of my children for the 19th-22nd because my father-in-law is very sick and

probably won't be well by then. My husband seems to think that I should cancel

the surgery, but I just CAN'T go another 6 months obsessing, so I'm trying to

come up with other childcare arrangements. My worst case scenario is that all 4

of us will go to Delano on the 19th (for preop), and then on the morning of the

21st, Dan will leave for LA (and Disneyland) with the boys while I'm still in

the hospital. That plan, though,has me taking a taxi to surgery at 5:30am on

the 20th and basically going into the waiting room and surgery alone, which I

really don't want to do. A hospital is no place for 2 healthy youngsters, and

Dan said he doesn't want to get them up at 5:30am to take me to surgery. Anyone

have any suggestions...or a good babysitter in Delano??
