Guest guest
He looks wonderful!!!! Thanks for sharing his graduation news and pictures. Angie DOC Band Grad & CI went from 100 to 86! The last month or so has been so crazy that I completely forgot to share with the group that my son, , graduated from his 2nd DOC Band at the end of April. He had severe brachycephaly but his cephalic index went from 100% (+5.3 SD) to 86% (+1.2 SD)!He started treatment at 4.25 months old on 12/23/09 and ended at 8.25 months old on 4/30/10. He spent 8 weeks in each band with an 11 day lapse between the two. He also had mild plagio and the CVA went from 6mm to 2mm. His Mid-Face Asymmetry went from 2mm to 0 and Skull-Base Asymmetry went from 3 mm to 1.Here are links to his final photo study (from my Picasa web album).Front/Back: http://lh5.ggpht.com/_kp-_rCSzhSw/S9sIF7Qe2tI/AAAAAAAAEbA/BVhXHuA9-OI/s800/photostudy-1.jpgSides: http://lh5.ggpht.com/_kp-_rCSzhSw/S9sIGivTRVI/AAAAAAAAEbE/Q_4JHhw2IvY/s800/photostudy-2.jpgTop: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_kp-_rCSzhSw/S9sIHZ0lvQI/AAAAAAAAEbI/ZFZqJ7GjjFo/s800/photostudy-3.jpgIn the 8 weeks since his graduation, visually his head shape has improved further. I'm thrilled with how he looks and don't regret getting the DOC Bands for a second. I paid for both out of pocket since CT was "out of network" with United HealthCare (and I didn't fight too hard). I went to the Paramus, NJ location and saw for almost all of 's adjustments.Regards,Robynmom to (now 10 months)

Guest guest
You can also definately see the improvement in the tort as that head got more and more straight. Congratulations. Starting so young makes a huge difference. And, I'll bet that once you got going, time really flew by. Out of curiousity, does your son have any bumps at all in his head? Or is it totally smooth and round (like a typical head)? I've heard that the key to avoiding bumps from the band is to start that young. Guest guest
, I had to feel 's head this morning to be sure... it's MOSTLY smooth and round. It's like there are two small bumps just above the base of his skull. There are pros and cons to starting so young. Pro = the correction. Con = needing two DOC Bands. But he's doing quite well.
