Guest guest
Theresa.. Just to let you know.. I had Dr. Warden do my surgery lap and at that time he had only done 48. I think natural talent and skill must enter this picture somewhere.. I dont care how many a surgeon has done, if he's an idiot, you wont get good results. I know that Dr. Warden, even with his less than 75 DSs, is talented and smart enough to operate on my in an outstanding and successful manner and watch NYC get attacked.. and all at the same time, for pete's sake! (yes my surgery was 9/11/01 8:15am).. I do agree tho that a surgeon should be competent and practiced as much as possible.. ) Love, sue postop 9/11/01 -70lbs Dr. Warden Ocean Sps, MS. > > The RNY is not the DS. Guest guest
Sue, I applaud your courage. As for me, I just won't take that chance. I do realize that there are calculated risks, but the DS is risky enough in my opinion. I had a serious complication and if I had been with a less experienced surgeon, i would have lost my duodenum. Now, if I had no complications, it wouldn't have mattered! Hugs, Theresa > > > The RNY is not the DS.
