Guest guest
I really thought I had enough information and enough personal contacts with other DSers that I was ready for my surgery on Tuesday. However this morning I`m full of hesitancy and nagging doubts. Mind Chatter. If I hadn`t been reading posts since last January I might invent some reason to not go forward. Some of this could be tied to having had my last real meal this am. I`m not hungry but I am feeling a bit apprehensive, and I usually " handled " those type of feelings with food. Not today. I have had those thoughts like " if I drank more water I would surely lose weight " and " just spend more time on the treadmill and the surgery will not be necessary " and so on. There is still lots to get done to be ready to go tomorrow morning, but a kind of numb paralysis is tugging at my ankles. Amazing what my mind can concoct. More later

Boy, is that ever an astute observation!! >Not today. Yeah, yeah, yeah...uh-huh! >There is still lots to get done to be ready to go tomorrow morning, >but a kind of numb paralysis is tugging at my ankles. Amazing what >my mind can concoct. More later I was buggy, too up until the day of surgery itself. Then a calm set in. You will to fine. To be nervous and to have second and third, and ... thoughts is perfectly human. --Steve -- Steve Goldstein, age 61 Lap BPD/DS on May 2, 2001 Dr. Elariny, INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Virginia Starting (05/02/01) BMI = 51 BMI on 11/14 = 39 (-80 lb.)
