Guest guest
I have recently been asked to write two letters to my insurance for my pediatrician asking them to pay for GH and to see Dr. H. Has anyone had to write any letters similar to this? I'm not sure what needs to be said. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
Can he tolerate nut butters and more fats, starchy veggies like squash with tons of butter, nut butter brownies. Lay on the carbs- ripe bananas, nuts, fats. Make yogurt with half and half. PJ > > Barney is some better. still gas but not half as bad as four or five days ago. He has lost 8 lbs in one months time. Aug 28 at dr. it was 166 now 158 today. How can he get better if he can't eat enough food or more different foods . Guest guest
There are some good recipes on pecanbread.com which has recipes by stages. I have to watch what I eat on SCD so I don't gain weight. Perhaps some thin people can help here. I think adding cheese has helped some. Guest guest
I think Barney just plain needs to eat more. And more fat, especially. 1 T almond butter isn't much if he's losing weight. I would suggest trying to get him to eat snacks as well as his meals, maybe something with more nut butter and/or regular butter. Can he handle some more fruit? I haven't done any baking yet but yes, I'd try some almond flour baking recipes and see how that goes. It all should help.
