Guest guest
Yes, be sure not to dress him too warmly. The band is like a little heater on their heads! Also, when I blow dried the band on a low setting and also blow dried my son's head on low after washing it, it helped a lot. If you get a sunny day, try drying it outside--that helps too. We had better results with the 90% alcohol than the 70% once my son's band really started to stink. Good luck! No one likes their baby to smell like a high school locker room. > > Warm weather has finally come to Ohio and 's head smells like stinky feet! Any suggestions for controlling the stinkiness in warmer weather? Should I just dress him in less clothes? Do I need to start wiping down the helmet a few times per day? We already wipe down the helmet and his head in the morning and give him a bath while cleaning his helmet at night. > > > mom to , 7 months, tort & plagio > Hanger helmet since 3/1/10 >
Guest guest
I noticed that once my daughter adjusted to the hotter weather the band didn't continually smell so bad. We always wiped it down at every diaper change, every car ride especially and I tried to leave it outside in the sun a few times a week for 15 minutes. I also did dress her so light. Cotton shorts and little spaghetti strap shirts even at bed time. She's hot natured to begin with and even when I was cold in the house she seemed perfectly fine! The hotter the weather I did have to even wipe it down in the middle of the night or she would cry real hard! Good ol' Texas heat for ya! We as well used the 90% alcohol! Hope something i said helped! (we had the doc band) > > Warm weather has finally come to Ohio and 's head smells like stinky feet! Any suggestions for controlling the stinkiness in warmer weather?
