Guest guest
And so the saga continues.... Max is hiccuping still. We saw Dr. H. last week and she wanted him treated for h pylori even though the biopsy came back negative. (He's been negative before on the first try.) So we came home with prescriptions for the two antibiotics and Max started the therapy. By Friday he was hiccupping less and was pretty happy. But, oh, so angry about it all! A phonecall to the psychatrist to discuss all of this - he was put on more Zoloft and she added Risperdal in case the hiccups are a tic, which they probably are at this point. Also, the Zelnorm was increased to 3 pills, twice a day. Max was doing pretty well until today. Today is full-blown hiccups day. Vomiting, too. I think we are going to stop the antibiotics after tomorrow and see what happens. The Risperdal will build up in his system, too, and hopefully will help. I'm getting a little nervous about all of this because Dr. H. called the GI docs while we were there and they were talking in code on the phone. I heard something about a neurologist and possible masses in his abdomen. Just what we need now. I'm just hoping that once the Risperdal builds up, Max will feel better and we can end this chapter of our lives. It's been almost 6 weeks.
