Guest guest
Thanks, . Max did have hiccups again today, but he said they only lasted about 15 minutes. He did not go to the nurse because he was in history class and did not want to miss it. He is stronger than I ever will be. Jodi Z
Guest guest
A little hiccup rememdy is to put a spoon in a glass of water (with the handle out). When you drink the handle of the spoon should hit pretty much between your eyebrows which must be some pressure point. Drink for about 10 seconds. It almost always works. When we brought home from the hospital after her open heart surgery I was calling the cardiologist to schedule the follow up when she started screaming she had thehiccups and well I guess you can imagine how much that hurt her chest. As soon as the office got on the phone all I said was quick a hiccup rememdy. The doctor said the sugar trick. However, I gave her water to drink and used my thumb to push on her forehead and it worked in less than 10 seconds. B advocate22003 wrote: Jodi - I think you are both strong. He did get it from someone you know. You know - those hiccups are the worst. I always sound like a belching frog when its my turn. Glad they only lasted 15 minutes though. Hopefully, the medicine he got from his internist will help if they erupt again. - H > Thanks, . Max did have hiccups again today, but he said they > only lasted about 15 minutes. Guest guest
I think there is a pressure point for hiccups between the middle and ring fingers, it used to work for me but no more - so I suspect it is just the novelty that causes a distraction - but it might just work for a while. Guest guest
Unfortunately, Max's hiccups are more chronic and the natural and old- fashioned remedies don't seem to work. These are really strong, from the gut-type things. I don't know how he stands them. But the Thorazine is working for the most part. Not totally, but it does calm them a bit. I can't wait to see Dr. H. on Oct. 10 to hear what she has to say. Oh, it's never dull for too long around here! Jodi Z
