Guest guest
My husband took Addie to see Dr. Dobbs 3/21. He was told to continue with 16 hours, not to reduce at this time. My husband also overheard Dobbs say the exact same thing to two or three other patients while he was there. Do you know why he is having some kids stay in the brace for longer? Addie has been walking great for several months, and he always says that her feet look great. I don't understand our " extended sentence " . I don't feel comfortable reducing with out his " go ahead " . So maybe I just need to vent my frustration. It is also frustrating when I can't be there for the appointments myself, and have to send my husband. My husband dosn't bring back all the info that I need! We have Addie in the brace 12h at night and daycare puts her in for another 4 h during the day. (we slack and just do 12 hours on the weekends) I just feel so bad for her having to crawl around at school while all the other kids are running and jumping. She drags her left foot slightly when she walks, but you can tell it is improving. I feel like more phyisical activity would be better for her to grow out of her weakness on the one side. Addie also started using the potty this week (Sat. she peed on the potty 3x- WHOO-HOO!) I think it would make potty training easier at day care if she could sit and do it by herself with out having to be lifted up to the potty by her teachers. How the heck did you get 12-14 hours for Sammy??? Thanks in advance for putting up with all my venting! Jen Ava 1-18-02 Addie 8-2-04 (Dobbs Brace still 16h!!)
