Guest guest
Just thought I'd let you all know how " the JOB " is going.... As most of you know, Max is working at our local Drug Fair. (It's in Chatham Twp., NJ.) He thought he was being hired to stock shelves, but they have put him on the register instead. Oh, my husband and I were worried about that. We seriously doubted if he could handle the stress - it's back to school shopping time and that is THE place around here to go. But guess what? We were WRONG!!! Max is doing wonderfully well! In fact, I was in there shopping for some things for my classroom and he was on the register by the time I was ready to pay. There was one man in front of me in line and he handled that man as if he'd been doing this all his life. When it came to be my turn, he treated me like a customer and was very professional. I was so proud! For those of you who have lived through our trials and tribuations with Max - the illnesses, the hospitalizations, all the surgeries, the picc line, the learning disabilities, Tourette Syndrome, anxiety, and on and on - please don't ever give up hope for your child. and I had many doubts that Max would ever be able to hold a job, live on his own, be an independent person. AND HE IS DOING IT NOW!!!! There is hope at the other end of that rainbow. Just hang in there 'til you arrive. Jodi Z
