Guest guest
You will need 60 grams a day at the beginning. It will be hard to accomplish unless you get a powdered protien. Check out vitalady.com > Hi Y'all, > > I had my consult with Dr. Booth on Thursday. All is well, pretty uneventful. I was a little disappointed at driving 3hrs one way to spend 5 minutes with him and watch a 35 minute video tape. 6 hrs on the road for that. (sigh) > > Anyway, Everything looks great for surgery so far. My pre-op stuff is on December 2 and surgery is the 6th. I am not sure which tests I will have to take. I recieved a packet in the mail which told me my appt. times and where to be for each appt. No news on exactly what tests would be done while I am there. > > I also recieved the phsycological test via snail mail to fill out and return to them. It is laughable. One of the questions (True/False) " I had not seen a car in over 10 years. " ???? says I should do ok. ;o) > > I have not recieved info on post op stuff yet. I want to know how many grams of protien I will need to eat daily. I know some of you already know. I am just curious and trying to plan ahead. > > I am so glad for this list. I have learned most of what I know about this WLS from the list, not from my doctor, although, I am sure that if I had questions, they would be more than happy to answer (I say this just in case Sweet, helpful, Mr. Woodard happens to read this!!!) ) I have learned so much from the list that I actually have very few questions for the doctor. Thanks for being here y'all!! > > Debbie
Guest guest
I am curious, yellow. I was told not to worry about amounts of anything for the first four weeks. Not protein, not vitamins, not liquids, not sugar. I was told to concentrate on healing, getting in as much liquid as I can, eat what felt comfortable and that it would all come together. Just on the cusp of my third week, everything is starting to stay where it was put! Ok, I have had to have some stern talkings to with my stomach, but its starting to get trained! Anyone else been given similar advice for the first month? Thanks, Theresa > > Hi Y'all, > > > > I had my consult with Dr. Booth on Thursday. All is well, pretty > uneventful.
