Elle - this is jealousy, pure and simple. These women know that they would

like to lose weight, but probably don't have the inclination or courage to do

wls, so they have to criticize. I think you should have told them that *yes*

you can have cake!

I also think they darn well knew better than to say remarks like the cake

remark, since I am sure all their lives they have heard about how they

" shouldn't " have this or that food......anyway, I wouldn't let it pass If I

hear from them again, I'd mention it to them, and if they still want to be

rude, then I'd forget about spending time with them.

Its not a fun part of life, but the older you get, the more " non-friends who

have shown their true colors " behind......so if thats what it comes to, I

know it will hurt, but it will not be your fault. We all eventually just

have too many other things to do than spend time with people who are not for

us, but against us.

Thanks Carol,

I won't! I kind of like the ideal of being thinnner

than her. But time will tell what my body wants me to

do.
