Guest guest
I really need some help again. My son 7 yrs. Has what my pediatrician thinks is thrush on his tongue but it could have been a burn or he bit it? Who knows. She put him on nystatin oral suspension which at first seemed fine but then I think it was actually irritating his mouth more all the junk in it. Friday she switched it to Diflucan today Sunday the white patch is gone but he is still in so much pain I don't know what to do. He is hurting himself and everyone around him because of the pain in that one area of his tongue. He can't sleep and eating hurts too. My arms are all bruised and cut from his aggression from the pain. My husband and I don't know what to do. He has gotten mouth sores before but never this bad. My Dr. says I have to wait it out. Because the tongue is moist and he touches it with his fingers it will take a long time to heal. Then I thought maybe taking his Zyrtec for 8 months now every night might be getting the best of him/Anyone have experience with Zyrtec causing mouth sore or any other food that he might be eating? He is of course gluten free casein free, soy citrus egg free, can't tolerate any veggies or fruits except watermelon, no fruit juices either. Please help.
