Guest guest
, It's great to read your post--all the bad things happening around you, but you went thru w/ the surgery, and you seem to have done great; and, as a nurse, I realize that only the horror stories are newsworthy--that's why the WLS, as elective surgery (which it really isn't in some cases), has gotten such a bad rep in the first place. But, as a mother, and a patient, I am a bit more apprehensive--which is probably better, because I'm usually so matter of fact where medical stuff is concerned. Also, I've read those AMOS memorials and lots of those people died either awaiting surgery or from things TOTALLY unrelated to the surgery. So--I'll have the surgery; I expect will elect to do so also. Thanks for the support and answers to questions both asked and only thought. You're all a great bunch of folks, Dianne I've learned - that it's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it. Here is a test to find whether your mission on earth is finished: If you're alive, it isn't. Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours.
