Guest guest
Dear , To find out what is causing gas and/or bowel activity is really a matter of trial and error. Could you be lactose intolerant? Are you eating fats at dinner time? Maybe you need to take more acidophillus? I suggest that you make a food journal with notations of not only what you're eating, but the time and record when you get gas pains and when you are having your BMs. This might show a pattern. In the beginning, I could not tolerate milk. Now, it is no problem. In the beginning, carbs really caused some terrible smelly gas, now, they aren't such a problem. I had 1/2 a blueberry muffin a few weeks post-op and I thought that I was going to knock my dogs out, plus I had terrible bloating. Just remember that whatever bothers you now, just might be okay several months down the road. Jane J.
