.

Questions are a good thing and there is no such thing as a dumb question.

To answer your question, I'm 33 and my hair grows in blond and very slowly.

My mother is 54 and she rarely shaves. So it could be a thing with age and

it could be a thing with circulation (being diabetic circulation could be

something to look at). So I really can't answer that.. now you got *me*

thinking! LOL

I'm not worried about the circulation though.. walking and excersise

minimizes bad circulation after surgery and the chance of clots. Plus that

little shot of Heparin they give you before surgery!

I dont think so , .....I think its just part of aging lol

But be assured of this, when you have surgery they will put these " pumps " on

your legs in surgery and you will likely wake up with them on to keep the

circulation going in your legs so you dont have to worry about blood clots.

They come off when you get up and walk around and they go back on when in

bed. I didnt mind them at all...they were pretty comfortable for me. Also,

they give you shots of heparin to thin your blood.

So, one less thing for you to worry about!!

Judie =)

Thank you for putting up with me. Believe me, even my own mother, who

is my best friend (don;t I sound like a kid, but hey its true)

sometimes tells me to " put a sock in it " because when I get on a roll

about something, I don;t stop. Of course, now that I know you are

both online, I of course cannot think of another question, it

figures. Believe me, I truly appreciate how giving of help support

and information everyone in this group has been. Now I wish there was

some sort of hypnosis to get my " too vivid imagination " to stop

driving me crazy.

Thank you again, and may everyone have a wonderful holiday.

In my daydreaming, I sometimes picture myself a uear from now, if I

do have this surgery. Now, if I had my choice, I would have it done

in the summer since I am off (being a teacher) and for the first time

in 11 years have saved up enough (from my numerous part time jobs

throughout the school year) to stay home. Ever since my divorce I

have worked 2-3 part time jobs in adition to teaching. Now, with a

little help from my parents, I was able to go for my masters (which I

will finish in May) and will afford me the greatest opportunity to

have this surgery without missing work. Anyway, in my daydreams, I

picture myself a year from now, and not feeling as disgusted with

myself, feeling energized, and feeling, for the first time in a long

time, hope. Who knows, it may happen.

Thanks again
