Guest guest
Did anybody see the article in this week's Time Magazine about the new personal transportation device called the Segway? According to their website, the initial device will be on sale in about a year, and will have a WT limit of 250 lbs. I'm 271 right now (and on a 3 week plateau). If I hadn't already had the surgery, this would be an incentive for me--I'm hopelessly enamored of all gadgets, the weirder the better! Yes, walking is good exercise, but sometimes, especially doing home health care in NYC, walking just takes too darn long! Although our public transportation is some of the best in the world, it can be very slow and unreliable. I'm going to try the " Segway incentive " on my BF, who is 450 lbs. and won't have ANY type of bariatric surgery because " the side effects are too drastic. " Maybe this will change his mind. Down 33 lbs and if that scale doesn't start moving soon, it's going out the window!
