Hi Ellen,

I have been there...done that with . For quite awhile, we

were giving him his Lupron shots every 21 days instead of every 28

days for the same reasons you described. I never heard of anyone

else who did the same. However, we are back on a 28 day schedule

now. We took off Lupron for a few months, because Dr. H &

my local endo were arguing back & forth about whether was in

true puberty based on the LHRH stimulation test. When they both

concluded that he was in puberty, started back up again and

has been taking it every 28 days. He is on 11.25 mg though, and has

been for about 2 years. has been on Lupron for almost 4 years

with a few months off here and there. I am not sure the Lupron is

working the way it should with him, but that seems to be the case

with all medicines & treatments we try. There were many issues Dr. H

couldn't explain either the last time we saw her. You might want to

talk to the doctor about going up to 11.25 mg. I don't know if this

dosage is based on weight or not, but increased to 11.25 mg

when he was 50 " and 48 lbs. He is now 52.5 " and 59 lbs. & will be

12 years old in a few weeks.
