Make sure you snap a picture and share with us on the cfpics site.

We'd love to see Miss Lily strutting her stuff.

I love to read the posts about the first steps.....it's one of the

most poignant milestones for all of our kids with clubfoot, that's

for sure! :)

Congrats!

It is a wonderful day isn't it? When Lily is ready for the " run away

from mommy because I am naughty " Olympics, let us know and we will have

a race. Next adventure, climbing...

Mom to many cookie monsters (today at least, anyone for a nice light

bulb cookie? Mmmmm (that would be one cooked in an EasyBake Oven))

She walked

I thought you would be happy to know that Lily started walking

between my husband and myself Wed. and yesterday walked from the

coffee table to the couch. It was beautiful. boy, is she proud of

herself!!!! And doggone it, I think she might actually be tall!

(When she was born, she was in the bottom 5% of height and this last

visit, she was in the 97% percentile--not that percentiles matter a

darn bit--but my feeling was they were both wrong--I didn't even put

her height on our birth announcement because I didn't think they

could measure correctly with her feet--our son, 2 at that time,

thought her feet looked like string cheese feet after the 2 color

cheese he eats...isnt' that cute?). She looked so tall standing

completely upright, legs together.

And thanks for answering my post recently about delayed walking. I

just had to be a little patient. Having an extra 6 hours out of the

brace didn't hurt I believe.

And you don't have to reply. There are other important things to be

discussed here so I'll just know in my heart, you are

thinking " yippee " and " way to go " . To think, just 3 months ago, Dr.

My non CF kid didn't walk until 14 months. I read somewhere that the " normal

range " is anywhere from 9 to 18 months. that's great that she's standing. Hope

that helps.

babys all walk at different times. Nine months is kind of early in terms of

walking, 12 months is not delayed, especially if she already stands up well.

Some children don't walk until 14 or 18 months and all that is in normal range

so I wouldn't worry about it too much right now. She'll walk when she gets

ready to :)

Yippee & way to go, Lily (couldn't resist, )!!!! How thrilled

you all must be!!!

(We're waiting for our Lily to walk unassisted- been cruising for a few months

now. She starts PT for gross motor skills in a couple of weeks.

It'd be great if she'd walk before then. Ha!).

Gotta do it-Yippee!!!! Yea!! now its time to baby proof. Way until

she starts the " run " . It's my son's favorite activity(he's been

walking only for 5 months). Now he prefers to run-especially if

momma and dadda say-on your mark, get set go!! I don't think I will

ever not have tears in my eyes as I see running around our

house!

Yippee skippee!
