Anyone know Dr. Scher from NYC?

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with Dr. Scher from

NYC. I am thinking of taking a trip down there for a second opinion

on 's foot. I had emailed pictures to Dr. Ponseti and he

suggested that I go see Dr. Scher. I was just wondering what people

thought of him. I have seen some of the other NYC doctors name's

mentioned on this board but not Dr. Scher.

We saw Dr. Scher for our son's last 6 month checkup. (We moved from

Nebraska to NJ this year, and all his initial treatment was with Dr.

Ponseti). I found Dr. Scher to be knowledgeable, attentive, caring,

and thorough. Dr. Scher was very good with the questions I had and I

came away thinking highly of him. His staff wasn't as warm and

friendly as we had been used to in Iowa City, but they did give us all

the help we needed and seemed caring in their own way. HTH, Caroline

Caroline,

Thanks for your opinion. I did make an appointment for to

see Dr. Scher in the next couple of weeks. It is nice to hear that

he is willing to listen and answer any questions you may have. My

doctor now, while I think he is good, does not have too much of a

bedside manner. I feel like I have to rush to get my questions

out.
