Guest guest
Dear Extended Family, I remember a thread a long time ago when some of you were mentioning Snow Cone Machines, or ice shavers, whatever. I believe this was in response to getting more liquids into yourselves. Well I am having a heck of a time getting liquids in me. Can you tell me about these machines and what you added to it and how it worked for you please? So far the only beverage I have been successful with is Green Tea. Cold, fruity, or plain water are not being tolerated well either stomach or mouth wise! Thanks everyone for your advice! Guest guest
Sheryl, has been serving me Lactaid milk...tastes a bit weird, but then, everything does to me now. So I try to drink that in my Cream of Wheat and smashed taters and a little in a glass. thanks. Maybe I should just drink a glass of milk and have some pills like dairy ease with it? Does anyone have feedback on the pills? And is it better to have 2% milk, which I prefer, or whole milk? Thanks again, Theresa DS 11-19-01 Dr. Jossart -16#s > In a message dated 12/1/01 5:11:04 PM Eastern Standard Time, > timarie55@h... writes: > > << So far the only beverage I have been successful with > is Green Tea. Guest guest
Theresa, I was having problems getting liquids in the first weeks home. We went to our local BP (gas station and food mart) and bought their ice chips in the biggest size cup they had... cost 5 cents. ANd I chewed on them. They were small and easy to chew and melt and swallow. Not like some of the big things out there in restaurants. I went through a couple large cups of these a day. Some of the cashiers even stopped charging me cause we came in so often to get them. My DH was so great about getting them for me anytime I wanted them. I still get them sometimes because I still have problems with plain water. Sheri 9/28/01 Dr Herron
Guest guest
Thanks Sheri for the info. YOu know how every now and then a angel falls into your life. Well a lady in this group, who I think might kill me if I gave out her name, contacted me privately. She has shared her history with me, as well as her fantastic weight loss, and said she has an ice machine that she would like to send to me. I swear, I spent most of this early morning crying over the generosity of a faceless stranger. Throughout the course of the day, we have exchanged histories and backgrounds and I feel I have found a long lost sister! She just wanted to pass on some of the good karma and help that others had passed on to her. I hope I can do that for others down the road. Its amazing how senseless acts of kindness just tend to blossom and grow! So, for my special angel and newest and dearest sister, you are truly an angel and I thank you sincerely!
