Guest guest
Kim, I wish you and the best with his surgery in the morning. I will be thinking of you and sending you those supportive vibes. Just know that lots of us will be doing that, okay? Now, about those dudenal ulcers: Max has those. That means he has reflux and the extra acid it causing the ulcers. It usually stems from a bacterial infection (h pylori) but once you have it, you will always test positive in a blood test. And it makes the environment right for ulcers for the rest of your life. Something like 40% of us carry that bacteria and never know it and a smaller percentage of that even respond positively to the antibiotics that are prescribed. Yuck. I am surprised that they are not repairing the hiatal hernia. I'm surprised that they are not checking out Max's. I'm just surprised by so much lately. (But I'm not surprised that Dr. H. did not get in touch with me after yesterday.) Please let us know how the surgery goes. I hope it is as painless as it can be for . And for you.
