> Hi Jodi,

I am so sorry you and Max are having to deal with all of this.

Although I haven't replied to many of your postings, I have been

reading all of them. I am sure you have done lots of research on

your own about these hiccups. I found a few links that you might be

interested in if you haven't already seen them or heard this

information:

Many of these links mention the vagus nerve. A long time ago when

used to retch horribly, his GI doctor thought that perhaps

the fundoplication was done too high, causing pressure on the vagus

nerve. This was just a theory of his, and nothing was ever done in

regards to his fundoplication due to his theory. I wonder though if

this has any bearing with Max?

I hope you get some resolution to this issue real soon!

Kim,

Funny you should mention the fundo. I actually asked the same question, but

was told that it was not possible. I also had already checked out some of the

sites you so kindly gave me and they mentioned about a hiatal hernia. Well,

Max had one and it was repaired when he had his fundo. I keep asking if it's

possible that it's back and they keep telling me no. Well, how does anyone

know that without checking?

At this point, I'm ready to scream. But people like you who support me are so

wonderful and help me get through. I'll let you know if I hear from anyone

today and how the day goes. I'm at school right now.
