weight, sick of myself, etc. >>

- you sound exactly like me. I do think, though, that once we start

even researching wls, we have actually more than half made the decision to go

through with it.......without even realizing it. We live our lives doing our

best to fight the weight loss battle, dieting over and over, losing and

gaining, and then there comes a day when we know we just don't have it in us

to diet again........that we might lose weight, but we won't be able to keep

it off. And then, we find ourselves actually thinking about having wls and

doing research on it and reading about it. You'll be surprised to find that

you have already made a decision to have a better life and to follow the path

that will give you that. Just keep researching and I think you will probably

find yourself wanting to get wls and get on with a new happy life. Yes, it

is very scarey to have surgery - however, it is also very scarey to keep the

weight on and find your health deteriorating. I think its better to have the

wls before any major health risks develop. I know my co-morbids are like

yours, border line high blood pressure, just showing up in the last couple of

years, same thing with high cholesterol. I know the high cholesterol is the

most scarey part for me. That can cause strokes - and I guess so can high

blood pressure. So, I think even tho I am not " sick " or debilitated in any

way, wls will keep me from suffering those problems.

And I think the healthier you are when you have surgery, the better chance

you have of having the surgery with no complications.
