Guest guest
Hi- My boys' annual checkups are approaching and I'd like to be able to hand my doctor something to read about the diet that will highlight some of the research. When I asked him about the diet originally he said that no research could prove it, but that it couldn't hurt Connor so give it a try if I felt it would help. Connor has always been borderline but we definitely see improvements and his ability to learn is wonderful. I don't think my doctor would see the improvements because he thought Connor was so mild that with interventions he would probably be caught up by kindergarten (no guarentees of course). I do however think I will need an ally in the years to come to find gfcf meds and documentation to support the diet in school settings. Does anyone know of a concise summary with studies included that a medical doctor would respect? It might also help him to be more encouraging to other families. He has said he would review any paper that I found to help me evaluate experimental interventions. Thanks, Helene
