I would use mass transit provided its easy (I am a chicken about getting

lost). I refuse to let this situation change my life beyond the grief I

feel in my heart. That would be letting them win.

On another note, Do you parents of babies bring a carseat? I would

prefer NOT to. I figure from O'Hare there is a shuttle (right?) and in

most states in a cab they are not legally necessary. I will be getting

there at around 11 at night so I am not sure if the shuttle will be

available?

I plan to see some friends while I am there but I assume the hotel will

have a restaurant or somewhere nice without us having to go anywhere.

Is that the case?

Thanks for the info everyone.

I too was wondering about the alerts. I send out my prayers to anyone effected

by this horrible act against life. I however will get on that train because if

they scare us then they control us. I don't brianna to see her mom and dad

scared of a train. She doesn't understand yet and i pray she won't have too.

With all this being said, I have a question for everyone. Each year

at the convention we have set aside a few days for sightseeing in

Chicago. We always take the train & occasionally a bus. With the

terror alert being raised to orange today for transit systems, I am a

little hesitant to use a mass transit system, especially in a major

city like Chicago. I'm not trying to scare anyone, but I'd like to

know what everyone else thinks of using the CTA to get around at this

point. I'm not too thrilled about flying there either, even though I

know they didn't raise the terror alert for flights. My heart goes

out to anyone who lives in London or has family/friends there.
