Just curious because Jordan will be doing OGTT in Nov and I forgot to ask Dr. H how many hours he needs to be without food. Hope all is well otherwise. Guest guest
Hi , How are you and doing? How's my buddy Jordan doing. Jodie Cals just showed me pictures and she had some good ones of and Jordan holding hands while sitting on Jenna Zwain's lap. That were so cute together. For the blood test couldn't have anything after midnight. We let her stay up a little later and made sure she drank a full can of Pediasure and a snack. She usually does that every night before bed but like last night she didn't want a snack and didn't finish her Pediasure, but she did eat very well (for her) for dinner. Her appointment was for 9 a.m. but by the time they came and got us out of thewaiting room it was about 9:30 and by the time they measured her and did her weight and then got set up in the other room it was about 9:45 or so. I asked if she could at least have some water at that point since she was screaming so much but they said no. The persons drawingthe blood were Dr. H's fellows. They were good and very compassionate and tried to work as quickly as possible, although gave them a real good fight. They started with the argenine and then I believe they added the clonidine but according to Dr. H's report we were going to do the clonidine and if she failed that do the argenine and I was tryign to hand them the prescription but they were concentrating on getting started and really you couldn't hear a thing with her screaming. Once they got IV line in I showed it to them. I think the clonidine is supposed to make them drowsy but being that it's in the morning and slept good the night before and didn't do that to her especially with the fight she put up. Also they didn't start with the clonidine so who knows. I hope you are all well. Let me know how Jordan makes out and I can't wait to see all of you in October.
