I am sure Jenna is sleeping up against the bar because " she can " . If

it wasn't there, she would not rest against it. Just take the bar

off, throw some pillows on the floor and try it. If she falls, she

will probably just climb back in without really waking up. If she

falls consistantly, gets hurt, or is not ready for " big girl " bed.

Just put the rail back on. Never hurts to try. My oldest went from

crib to toddler bed at age 2. At 2yrs. 3mos went to a full size bed

with out rails. She never fell out of her big bed, but I would

occasionally find her on the floor or " half on/half off " when she

first switched to the toddler bed.

My little one has been sleeping in the toddler bed for 2 weeks now.

She has never fallen out, but my wall is getting banged up from the

brace! I may have to move bed out away from the wall very soon. =)

Good Luck!
