Guest guest
Hi , 12 actually doesn't seem that bad Ethan had 13 followed by a tenotomy cast followed by 7 more casts and a second tenotomy cast so I think that makes 22 sets in total! I guess at least we are keeping the plaster companies in business! Kathy:) wrote: Hello, all. I was shocked to recently discover that Lily has had 12 sets of casts (14 if you counted the day her former doctor's casting office cast her three times because of errors). Most of you know our story and soem of you are responsible for getting us into mirable worker Dr. P. However, just curious how many casts some of your babies/children have gone through. By the way, Lily has been in her s 22 hours a day for almost 2 months. The MItchells have been a breeze and she gets around anywhere she wants at 14 months (they are especially effective at clearing her 3 year old brother from her toys--or his--when she doesn't feel like sharing!). I am still not thrilled with her left foot so am eager to hear what Dr. Ponseti thinks next month. However, they look 100 times better than they did in March with almost a year of care with our former doctor under our belts. Looking forward to hearing about your casting experiences. I know some of you have had children almost continually in casts and is comforting to know other's journey of treatment. , mother of Lily 4/15/05, severe BL CF --------------------------------- All New Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi - before we switched to a proper Ponseti doctor, Hayden had about 18 casts, including replacement casts. Once we moved over to Dr. Pirani he had about six or seven more. I thought he'd never be out of them! wrote: Hello, all.
