We have been going through the same thing with some of Aubrey's medicines, not

her growth hormone though, but instead her medicine for her lungs. There is a

form(and wouldn't you know it I can't remember the name of it) well anyway what

this form says is basically the medicine is a neccessary and why the child needs

it and that the other brands won't work. We had to do this with Aubrey's Xopenex

and it was quite an ordeal, actually took about a week. We are still getting

papers in the mail where the pharmacy kept running it through to medicaid and

they denied it. Finally after the pharmacy ran it through I would say about 20

times it went through. I'm not sure if this is any help since it's different

kind of medicine, but hopefully it will be of little help.

I think I am the mom is referencing. I live in Virginia and

have where gh is covered for medicaid recipients. My son is on a

medicaid waiver, and has BCBS as his primary insurance company, and

medicaid picks up co-pays.

I am not sure if I can help, as each state handles medicaid

differently, but I would be willing to try and help you.

Feel free to email me privately at ajhoward @ att.net
