Alyssa and Sharon

Hi gang:

Talked to Alyssa ...She and Sharon made it through surgery

wonderfully!!! Last night at the Shilo, Alyssa and Sharon shared a

tape measure and took their measurements...did their trotting to the

restroom, they were wonderful pre-ops.

This morning Alyssa was first into surgery then Sharon followed soon

after.

Alyssa sounded great on the phone...voice a little raspy (to be

expected) She was very thirsty (boy do I remember that feeling) Said

she wasn't in a bunch of pain..the Morphine/toradol are doing thier

job. She had been on one nice walk out to the nurses station and

back. She said the nurses were tops. Her common channel is a 75.

She can look across the hall and see Sharon. Both of thier surgeries

took 2 to 2 1/2 hours, so a classic case.

Alyssa's husband is not spending the night at the hospital (they have

a 3 year old son with them)I believe tomorrow her husband leaves.

Her mom is due in on Sunday...so for a couple days she will be solo.

Dr. K said If everything goes as planned she should be released on

Monday.

Alyssa said It's ok to call...but please keep it short because of the

thirst, talking makes it worse. She is in room 303.

I haven't talked directly to Sharon...Alyssa told her I said Hi and I

would post that she made it through surgery without a hitch...she is

in room 309.

Lets all keep them in our thoughts...healing energy directed their

way..we want our new switch sisters to continue on the path of " doing

great "
