Yes indeed, today was not my best, I trust tomorrow will be a better one. Sheri >> Hi Sheri, I think you will be better off not taking any zinc at all. By avoiding zinc at the beginning you can allow the copper to build up faster. Zinc stimulates the thyroid and right now you don't need that. When your heart rate slows down to normal, then you could try a little bit, but no where near 40 mg. If you stop the zinc you should feel noticeably better in 3-6 days. Let me know what happens. When do I bump up the Pep and start the No Fenol? I would bump the Pep now, wait a week, then add No-Fenol. The loose bm might be the phenol foods which now are needing better digestion. It also might be that there are foods your child won't tolerate, even with enzymes. If you think that might be the case, rotate foods even while using enzymes, to figure out which foods you would still need to remove. http://www.danasview.net/rotation.htm > > Why does a child who has been on the diet a year and a half have these troubles? It's quite a load pulling an 8 year old and a 4 year old in the bike trailer so it's a good work out. I do that sometimes if it's too cold for Lynn to ride in the morning but nice by afternoon. Usually I just pull Vonn in the trailer which is a piece of cake. Hmmmm..... bad saying on this list.... how about piece of fat free, sugar free, carb free cake? Gotta stop chatting and get to work! Guest guest
Hang in there Ann! If its working, counseling is rarely easy or comfortable and all those platitudes about having to " go through to get out " have some truth to them. You've done good work for yourself and your husband this week. My 2 cents say go for the evaluation. They can't make you do anything you don't want to so if the doctor is way off base there is still no harm done and you will know that you have really explored every avenue. You have really accomplished a lot this week in taking care of yourself. Good work! christine > Hi, > > I consumed 1544 calories today. Guest guest
My general practitioner suggested 8 ounces of water for every hour that I was awake to get me past the dehydration caused by surgery. If you're dehydrated, I think you'll feel better in four to six hours. You'd be surprised how crappy, weak, and sleepy you'll feel when you're dehydrated. After a couple of days you can probably ease up on the water a bit, but I guess it's actually quite good for us. Matt wrote: > > Hi Matt, > I will try that. Guest guest
Hang in there, it will get better. It is a good idea drinking enough water, but even if I did it took some time before my dizziness got better. I was very dizzy the first week and then I slowly felt improvement day by day. Now it is 7 weeks and two days since my surgery and I am not feeling much dizziness anymore. I did have a lot of problems with being dizzy before the surgery, too. And now I am better than I was before the surgery.
Guest guest
Hi , I'm Joanne and I'm on day 4 since my surgery, its good to have someone else in a similar boat...although thats what I love about this group becuse it dosnt matter how long ago each person had their surgery they can all relate and empathize and I SO appreciate it. So you havent had much pain, but a lot of dizziness? Do you know exactly what they removed? I'm the opposite, there has been a lot of pain but very little vertigo. Out of nowhere today I have a metal taste in my mouth. Does that make sense to have taste issues a few days after surgery? I didnt notice it there until now. I know what you mean about the drowsy, but I'm assuming its from the painkillers. , does your head feel really heavy like you are wearing weights on it? My neck feels exhusted from holding my head up.Please let me know more with how you are doing. White light your way, :)Joanne > > Hi all, > Well it has been 5 days since I had my operation and I am still feeling > quite drowsy and dizzy. Guest guest
Thanks Matt, I will try the water too, I wasnt thinking dehydration. On a little more personal note, is it normal not to go to the " bathroom " for 5 days after surgery? I'm not sure if I should take something mild or not. I was very sick after the anesthitic and vommited quite a few times so I'm thinking maybe there just isnt anything much to eliminate.Any suggestions? > > > > > > > > Hi all, > > > > Well it has been 5 days since I had my operation and I am still > > feeling > > > > quite drowsy and dizzy. Just before I had my 2nd c'toma in my other ear (don't ever ask if you are likely to get it in your other ear!) I had the worst ear infection I've ever had. I had to keep visiting the hospital to get my ears cleaned out otherwise the pressure caused so much pain. This infection wiped out my taste buds completely. I can't remember when I finally got my taste back, it just came back slowly but it was a good month or two after the surgery. But I did have the metallic taste which was far better than the clicking I got after the first surgery on the other ear! Hang in there, it does get better. Guest guest
I am the mom of two daughters that had cholesteatomas. Just wanted to say that your doctor should have perscribed you something to take with your pain medication to keep you from getting constipated. The pain medication will cause constipation. I would call your doctor and ask him about it. Re: Day 5 Thanks Matt, I will try the water too, I wasnt thinking dehydration. Guest guest
Oh that's plenty normal! Ask your doc if it would be okay to take a mild laxative like Senekot (spelling?). That got the ol' pipes flowing again and you really only need a dose or two. It was actually more scary for me after my recent hernia surgery (that was local anesthetic). Talk about your white light ... I saw some weird blue ones arranged in some kind of geometric pattern. I never even felt the surgery on my stomach. So strange! joannelpo121 wrote: > > Thanks Matt, I will try the water too, I wasnt thinking dehydration. > On a little more personal note, is it normal not to go to > the " bathroom " for 5 days after surgery? Guest guest
Hi Joanne, I have had hardly any pain at all in all honesty, just dizziness and really tired. I have spent the last 6 days in bed most of the time. As soon as I am up for around an hour I am buggered, dizzy and need to sleep. I am not taking painkillers, my pain (luckily) isn't that bad. My c-toma was in the external canal. I was fortunate that the surgery was performed entirely through the canal, hence the reason I thought I would be immediately better LOL. My head does also feel like I am wearing weights on it, it feels like someone put two dumbells on it! Hope you feel better soon, . joannelpo121 wrote: > > Hi , I'm Joanne and I'm on day 4 since my surgery, its good to > have someone else in a similar boat...although thats what I love about > this group becuse it dosnt matter how long ago each person had their > surgery they can all relate and empathize and I SO appreciate it.
